Shadow Dancing

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”~ Jimi Hendrix

She inhales.

I warned you,
he says,

you're playing
with fire.

She exhales...

...a soft current
of love towards
his words.

Not exactly,
she thinks,
I'm dancing
with Light.

He flickers.

Ease On Down The Road

Over time, your appreciation for the question will become equivalent to your appreciation for the answer, and your appreciation for the problem will become equivalent to your appreciation for the solution. And in your newfound ease with what-is *, you will find yourself in the state of allowing what you truly desire. And then, all manner of cooperative components will reveal themselves to you in a delicious co-creative dance of Deliberate Creation. ~ L.O.A.

This Might Sound Crazy

While loitering on a sidewalk outside a nightclub in San Francisco on a September night in 1994, I found the cover of a booklet lying in the gutter. Written by Marilena Silbey and Paul Ramana Das, it was called "How to Survive Passionate Intimacy with a Dreamy Partner While Making a Fortune on the Path to Enlightenment." Sadly, the rest of the text was missing. Ever since, hungry for its wisdom, I've tried to hunt down a copy of the whole thing, but to no avail. I'm hoping that maybe you will consider writing your own version of the subject. If you do, please send it to me. ~ Robbing Me Right

Timely! I decided to put away ALL writing except for one script. A screenplay.

Last year, about this time, I had a serious 'you can do this' moment while watching a couple of my one-acts go up on my own rural Broadway. Naturally, I engaged in more playwriting only to find myself dissatisfied. To purge flighty thoughts that flutter in my brain, I engage in poetry. And, of course, I blog. Those types of writing, ineffectually, are avoidance behaviors keeping me from what has really been calling me forward -- the characters in this script.

I had a funny thing happen during a script-chat recently. I was remind of how interconnected I had been to people supporting my ideas. And when one of them traveled off to the great screening room in the sky, I subconsciously allowed the work to follow. I have no doubt he's watching and enjoying the hell of the work in my "vibrational reality" because, over the last several weeks, I have persistently felt his presence. A joyful presence but one that periodically says: What are you doing? You're not writing.

If I had a sense of guilt, I would credit it to my imagination. Tag it as some emotionally charged apparition to placate moments of weakness in an otherwise hard worker. But there's no guilt. He's just bugging me. I even told him to go away. He's not budging. So now that I'm completely endeared by his faithfulness to the work, I am thinking and thinking and thinking and seeing and seeing and seeing what I think he has been watching. I'm truly inspired. And, yes, a little insane. Nonetheless, Marilena & Paul may not be too far off in the premise of my story.

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.~ T. S. Eliot

No thought is an orphan to its creator. No action isolated from its source. Be willing participants in your reality and responsible builders of your creation. The wonderful thing about creation is that it returns to you; so, you can observe and adjust and realign that which you desire. ~ Ships of Song

I have not ended world hunger. I have not cured any disease. I have not won a Pulitzer. But as I take inventory over the last year, I accept that I have done something quite amazing. With intent, I set into motion a circle...sending out thought in a slightly different direction than ever before. It has all come back to me new and, with open arms and confident hands, I'm already readjusting, realigning with that which continues to resonate in me. In this infinite process of refining, there will be more circles with some creations and fewer with others while shaping it all into existence. Reality truly is the beautiful illusion at the heart of creating. I read the other day, I don't remember where, to accept 'what is'...to embrace it and, I inferred, make peace with it. I think it means to make peace with the reality of others because there will never need to be peace made with that over which we have absolute control. Never. "Now", for me, serves one purpose: Focus (in the most delightful way possible). One creation that has my greatest attention, one I expect will return again and again, is to truly feel the worthiness of knowing I have been given the birthright of absolute power in what is called My Life.

A Path to KnowHere

Most rarely align with their true power, because it seems illogical to them that there is power in relaxation, in letting go, or in love or joy or bliss. Most people do not understand that their true power lies in releasing resistance—which is the only obstacle to their true power. Most people do not expect their path to great abundance to be one of ease and of joy. They have been taught that struggle and hardship and sacrifice are requirements that must be met before the reward of great abundance can be realized. Most do not understand that the very struggle they deliberately involve themselves in, in their quest for success and advantage, actually works against them. There are so many things that you have been taught to believe that are counter to the powerful Laws of the Universe that it is difficult for you to think your way out. And that is the reason that we present this path of much less resistance. We want you to breathe rather than try, to relax rather than offer effort, to smile rather than struggle, to be rather than do. For your true power is experienced only from inside the Vortex. ~Abraham
